Laura is an exceptional realtor whose wisdom, deep experience, talent, ability to work around challenges, and her honesty and candor garnered multiple offers on my home and a winning bid that was higher than I could have reasonably expected. She accomplished this by creatively addressing a few challenges on my home and property that other designers and a landscape architect were unable to meaningfully address. She also helped resolve a couple of permitting issues that had impeded putting my home on the market. But, even more than these, Laura’s wise counsel, her candor and impeccable honesty led me comfortably through the process of selling my home. She was always available to discuss my (sometimes neurotic) concerns, and allay my fears (or at least put them in perspective). Her insights on market timing, building interest in my home, evaluating offers, and navigating around a couple of issues that risked upsetting close of escrow were all invaluable. I interviewed about a half-dozen realtors before choosing Laura because she seemed the best choice by far, and even with those high expectations, she exceeded them. The actual cost of readying and staging my house for showing was significantly less than the other realtors I interviewed estimated, and I netted about 20% more from selling my home with Laura than the others believed I could get. Laura is not only someone whose great work yielded significant financial benefit, but she is also now someone who I consider a friend. I could not recommend her more highly.

Nancy was knowledgeable, positive, responsive, and resourceful. She recommended a design company which gave me renovation suggestions and options to evaluate. The company efficiently made the approved renovations and staged the house on time and on budget (without my involvement). Nancy Reichert-Burley

After interviewing several real estate agents, we hired Nancy due to her intimate knowledge of Richmond Annex and her ability to discern which improvements would be worth our investment, and which ones would not. Furthermore, our situation was complex, given that the other seller and I are separated, but she navigated the situation like a pro. As we prepared the house for sale, she communicated with us in a timely manner, took our calls when there were hiccups, and did a great job fixing up the house for sale. Once it came time to review offers and select a buyer, she was tremendous. She and Jack Burley did a great job organizing all of the offers into a spreadsheet which made it easy to decide which offer to accept. When our sale hit a bump towards the close of escrow, Nancy came to the rescue to assure our buyer and their agent that we were going to close nearly on time, and ultimately we closed on time anyway. I can't recommend Nancy enough! She was a pleasure to work with.

Marianne Scott

Working with Marianne to find our home in Berkeley was one of the best decisions we made in the entire process. From the start, she took the time to truly understand what we were looking for, not just the obvious checkboxes, but the things that actually mattered to us in a home and a neighborhood. Once she got it, she did the filtering for us and only brought us places we'd genuinely be interested in. That alone saved us an enormous amount of time, and she was still always happy to go see as many properties as we wanted. Buying in Berkeley is its own thing. The market doesn't work like other places, and so much of it comes down to local knowledge you can't find online. Marianne has that in spades: a deep feel for neighborhoods and streets, plus a trust network and relationships with other agents that genuinely helped us land our house. What we appreciated most was that she never pushed. She wasn't trying to sell us a house just to close a sale; she used a critical, honest lens to tell us whether a place (and its layout) would actually work for us. And when it came to bidding, she gave us a calm, transparent read on what to offer, never pressuring us to over- or under-bid. That helped us price our offers correctly. She's simply a wonderful person to work with. We've since recommended her to friends who've worked with her too, and she's helped them find and close on their homes as well. We can't recommend her enough.

Ilona has been working with my husband and I for over two years trying to find our dream home. She has met up with us countless times at potential homes and very transparent about her thoughts on every home based on our wish list for our dream home. If you are looking to buy in Piedmont, Lisa is the agent for you! Lisa's relationships with other agents in the area gave us a real edge. She knew how to position our offers competitively without overpaying, and her negotiation instincts were spot-on every step of the way. What also set Lisa apart was her responsiveness. She was always reachable and incredibly flexible when it came to scheduling tours, which made the whole process feel much less stressful.
